Morgan Great Hall, Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Hartford, CT
CONVERGENCE —
The works in Arazzo’s season finale program epitomize the concept of convergence. Metallic and percussive textures permeate Caroline Shaw’s Limestone & Felt and Jessie Montgomery’s Strum, while lush, chorale-like sections comprise Strauss’ Capriccio. Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence represents the composer’s convergence on Florence and the combination of six string instruments to create diversely layered orchestral textures.
We are so grateful to partner with the incredible Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art to present this program!
